Spanish audiobook production for English-language authors
Turn your English-language book into a Spanish audiobook in under 21 days.
Send a short excerpt from your book. I'll send back the Spanish audio version. If quality, pacing and tone feel right, we agree a fixed quote and I produce the full Spanish audiobook.
Paste about a page of text you like into the email, a small scene or passage that feels representative, send it to lukas@puenteaudio.com, and I'll use that for your sample.
Voice is digital and clearly labeled where required. You own all rights and the masters pass technical checks for Audible, Spotify, Google Play Books and today's major platforms.

A short Spanish demo. The text below shows the same passage in English and Spanish.
English
“Spanish audio is no longer a side niche. In 2024, Spanish-language audiobook revenue in Spain grew by about 38%, and the U.S. Spanish market grew by more than 50%, driven by subscription listening, which now accounts for roughly 88% of revenues. The catalog has passed 24,000 Spanish-language titles and is on track to reach around 27,000 this year, so listeners can finally find depth across genres. In Spain, audiobook use reached 7.9% of the population in 2024, and 12.8% among 25 - 34 year-olds. Add roughly 630 million Spanish speakers worldwide and the opportunity is obvious: a well-produced Spanish edition lets an English-language author sell into multiple paying markets, from Spain and Mexico to the fast-growing Spanish segment in the United States. Distribution friction is also dropping fast: Spotify’s audiobook plan has already lifted publisher revenue by more than 20% where it has launched, and that model is rolling into high-penetration Spotify territories across the Spanish-speaking world. If your book already performs in English, a Spanish audiobook is now one of the cleanest ways to turn existing IP into new revenue with compounding discoverability inside subscription ecosystems.”Timeline
Sample in 48 hours; full audio book delivered within 2 to 3 weeks.
1) Send an excerpt & get your sample
You email a short excerpt from your book (about a page). Within 48 hours I send back about two minutes of Spanish audio of that excerpt, fully produced translation, narration, and mastering so you can hear how your book will sound.
2) Approve tone & quote
We lock voice, accent, and pacing based on the sample. Once you're happy, I confirm a fixed production quote and delivery window. For a typical 8 to 12 hour book, full production usually takes around 2 to 3 weeks once the text is final.
3) Receive files & publish
You receive three artifacts: a Spanish script of your book, mastered per-chapter MP3 files, and a simple metadata sheet, ready for platforms like Spotify (via Findaway) and Google Play Books. You retain all rights, and I can guide you through the first submission if you want help.
Quality
In practical terms, “premium” here means a Spanish audiobook that feels high‑end to listeners, at a price that only makes sense because of modern tools.
- Text-first translation
- Your English text is segmented and translated with tone, rhythm, and meaning in mind, so the Spanish sounds like a real book in Spanish not a literal, machiney copy.
- Narration tuned to your book
- You approve a two-minute Spanish sample of your text first. We adjust voice, accent and pacing there, then carry that setup across the rest of the audiobook. Behind the scenes I add SSML stage directions so the digital voice knows where to pause and emphasize, then deliver mastered chapters ready to upload.
- Platform-ready masters
- Audio is mastered to spoken-word loudness targets with clean chapter files and metadata, so your Spanish edition is ready for platforms like Audible, Spotify (via Findaway) and Google Play Books without extra technical work on your side.
Distribution
Where your Spanish audiobook can be published today
Spotify (via Findaway Voices) and Google Play Books already accept clearly labeled digitally narrated Spanish audiobooks. I deliver platform-ready files and walk you through submission. The same masters can be used for Audible/ACX and other retailers as their AI narration options expand.
For transparency, read the current guidance from each platform: Findaway Voices · Google Play Books · Audible/ACX

What authors say
As a historian, I cabe about how my main text and references are handled. Lukas asked clarifying questions, was fast and transparent about each step, and the Spanish script he delivered kept my tone while smoothing out the places that may seemed hard to narrate. When I heard the sample, it sounded like my book, only in Spanish, and he handled everything independently.

I went into this first assuming a digital voice would sound mechanic or synthetic. The sample Lukas sent back from my book changed my mind instantly. In fact, the Spanish narration was clear, and good enough that I felt safe sharing it with my colleagues and students. The full production hit the timeline we agreed on, the chapter files with metadata worked smoothly inside the platform, and the overall sound felt like my English edition.

Who you'll work with
PuenteAudio is a small studio founded by me, Lukas. I'm a CS and mathematics trained engineer from Germany, currently based in Buenos Aires, focused on turning English books into Spanish audiobook editions that are ready for subscription platforms.
Recently I led the build of a full-stack AI knowledge platform GPU infrastructure, FastAPI, Redis, Celery, vector search that is being deployed at a tier-1, multi-billion-dollar bank. Most of my work has been about shipping reliable AI systems in regulated environments, not experiments that live only in slides.
On the research side, I'm first author on a neural-network interpretability paper at AAAI, a tier-one US AI research venue. My background spans three bachelor and two master degrees across computer science, mathematics, and psychology, with top-of-class results.
Off hours I dance tango in Buenos Aires, so I think a lot about rhythm and timing and I try to bring that same sense of musicality and respect for your time into every Spanish audiobook I produce.
You coordinate directly with me as founder. If you want a deeper look at my history, you can always check my LinkedIn or email lukas@puenteaudio.com.
